While dreidels can be made out of anything, this simple craft project lets you make a useable dreidel at home out of an old milk carton.

Materials & Tools

small milk carton
blue paint
paintbrush
glue
pencil
scissors
gold glitter
styrofoam ball
table covering
plastic plate

Directions

1. With your scissors, poke a in the top and bottom of the milk carton.

2. Paint the carton blue. Let it dry for at least a half hour.

3. Cover the top and bottom of the carton with glue and sprinkle it with gold glitter. Shake of the excess. Squeeze the glue on the four sides in the form of the Hebrew letters. (see below for Hebrew letter guide) Sprinkle the glitter over the clue and shake off excess. Let the carton dry for another half hour.

4. Place your pencil into the Styrofoam ball. Cover the ball with glue and roll it around in the glitter. Allow the ball to dry for 20 minutes.

5. Insert your pencil topper into the bottom of your milk carton and start playing with your dreidel.
