Instead of hanging an American flag, try adorning your front step with this patriotic windsock, which you can make from repurposed supplies you have at home. Materials & ToolsCylinder-shaped cardboard box (an oatmeal box works perfectly)Blue and white construction paper Red and white crepe paper streamers Glue Stapler String Scissors Hole punch |

DirectionsCut off the bottom of the oatmeal box. Cover the box with blue construction paper. Cut out stars from the white paper and glue onto the blue cylinder.Cut out six red and six white crepe paper streamers. Staple them onto one end of the cylinder. Punch four holes along the top of the opposite end of the windsock. Cut two foot-long pieces of string and thread them through the holes. Attach the strings to a hook on your porch or by a window. |
