Shavuot is the Jewish holiday commemorating the anniversary of G-d giving the 10 Commandments to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai. Known as Chag HaBikurim (The Holiday of the First Fruits), Shavuot also celebrates the harvesting of the summer fruits. To commemorate Shavuot's agricultural significance, many people decorate their homes and synagogues with flowers. In Israel, children wear garlands made from wheat and fresh flowers. Here are fun crafts that will help get your whole family into the Shavuot spirit.
